Plot Summary Part 2
Mitch starts meeting with Morrie weekly and he comes up with a list of things he wants Morrie to tell him about. Some examples of the things Mitch wants to talk about are regrets, death, the fear of aging, forgiveness, and eight other topics. They talk about one topic every week when Mitch comes to see Morrie. As they go on, Morrie's condition keeps getting worse to the point where Morrie cannot relieve himself, walk, or eat hard foods. They keep meeting until one day Mitch is called by Morrie's attendant and he learns that Morrie has died. Plot Summary Part 1
The book Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom is about a young man, Mitch, that meets with an old man, Morrie, every week to learn about important things in life. The book starts out when Mitch is flipping through TV channels. He sees his old professor on TV so he watches on and he finds out that he had ALS. Mitch decides to travel to see Morrie. After talking, they decide to meet every Tuesday, which is when Morrie used to teach the class that Mitch attended. When Mitch gets back to Detroit, he realizes that the Union he is in is striking against the newspaper that he is working for so he no longer has a job.
Setting and Theme
Setting. The story mostly takes place at Morrie's house in Boston, MA. The time of the story is present and it flashes back to the late 70's and early 80's.
Theme. The theme is the rejection of material happiness in order to accomplish and practice your self values. This is the theme because at the beginning of the story Mitch likes money more than most other things in life and as he keeps meeting with Morrie, he realizes money is not the most important thing in life.

Main Characters
The two main characters in the book Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, are Mitch and Morrie. Mitch is an adult that lives in Detroit and is a journalist for a newspaper there. He had wanted to be a musician but then he realized that being a musician would not give him enough money. Morrie is professor of sociology at Brandeis University. He is in his 70's and he continued to teach until he got ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was Mitch's old professor.
